Authenticated file execution via traversed controller include
Published May 15, 2025 · Updated May 19, 2025
Path traversal in Atheos before 602 allows remote authenticated users to execute uploaded PHP files through a crafted target parameter. The root controller.php passes the unsanitized POST target into component and plugin paths, then includes a matching controller.php file. High-privileged Atheos access and the ability to upload a malicious controller.php are required, after which the server runs that file.
