Authenticated code execution via unvalidated plugin ZIP
Published May 15, 2025 · Updated May 19, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Emlog Pro 2.5.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through a plugin ZIP. The /admin/store.php install action accepts an attacker-controlled cdn_source URL, downloads and extracts the ZIP into the plugin directory without validating its PHP content. A valid administrator session is required; requesting the extracted PHP file executes it with the web server's privileges and enables full server takeover.
