CVE-2025-47783Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Browser script execution via unsanitized label_config response

Published May 14, 2025 · Updated May 15, 2025

Reflected XSS in HumanSignal Label Studio before 1.18.0 allows remote attackers to execute scripts in a user's browser via label_config. The POST /projects/upload-example/ view places parsed label_config task data in an HTML HttpResponse without output neutralization. Exploitation requires a user to submit a crafted cross-origin form, enabling actions in that user's account; HttpOnly cookies prevent direct session-cookie theft.
