Administrator access via hard-coded service password
Published May 28, 2025 · Updated May 30, 2025
Use of a hard-coded password in Netwrix Directory Manager 11 before 11.1.25134.03 allows remote attackers to authenticate as administrators. The product assigns a fixed password to the hidden GroupID account used by the Security Service to authenticate to Replication, Email, and Scheduler services. Network access to a reachable deployment is sufficient to compromise the application and its integrated identity stores.
