Stored XSS via insufficient countdown attribute escaping
Published Jun 10, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in the Countdown widget in Leap13 Premium Addons for Elementor 4.11.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. The widget places attacker-controlled data-countdown content into page output without sufficient sanitization or escaping, causing browsers to interpret the stored value as executable markup. Contributor-level access or higher is required, and the injected script runs in a visitor's browser whenever the crafted page is opened.
