Administrator-level object injection via settings deserialization
Published May 7, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
PHP object injection in Florent Maillefaud WP Maintenance 6.1.9.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject objects. The wpm_process_settings_export() function deserializes untrusted settings-import data, instantiating attacker-controlled PHP objects. Administrator-level access is required; file deletion, data disclosure, or code execution also requires a usable POP chain from another installed plugin or theme.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
