Authenticated code execution via unchecked JSP upload
Published May 16, 2025 · Updated May 16, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in MegaGao production_ssm 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code by uploading a crafted JSP file. PictureServiceImpl.uploadPicture concatenates the client-supplied filename with the image save path and writes the file without enforcing a server-side extension allowlist. A valid backend session and a Tomcat mapping that serves the upload directory are required; requesting the stored JSP executes commands with the application server's privileges.
