Contributor-level script execution via undisclosed DOM injection
Published May 7, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
DOM-based XSS in the Woobox WordPress plugin 1.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in a victim's browser. The public CNA and vendor-linked advisory identify client-side DOM processing as the vulnerable locus but do not disclose the input source, sink, file, or function that fails to neutralize untrusted data. Contributor-level access and a privileged user's interaction with crafted content are required, after which injected code runs in that user's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
