Stored XSS via missing nonce validation
Published May 7, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in the theMarketer WordPress plugin 1.4.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through forged requests. The vulnerable function omits or incorrectly performs WordPress nonce validation before accepting an action that stores attacker-controlled script content; public records do not identify the function or stored field. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator to visit an attacker-controlled page or select a crafted link, after which the stored script executes in users' browsers.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
