Stored XSS in WSO2 API Manager components allows remote authenticated users with publisher privileges to execute scripts via document uploads. Publisher REST upload handlers accepted a supported filename extension without verifying that the file bytes had the matching MIME type, so active content was stored and later rendered. Execution requires another user to open the uploaded document; it can redirect the browser, alter the UI, or read browser-accessible data, but HttpOnly session cookies prevent session hijacking.
