Web-shell upload via missing file-type validation
Published Jun 17, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in RomanCode MapSVG before 8.7.4 allows remote authenticated users to place a web shell on the WordPress server. The plugin's upload path accepts dangerous file types without validating the uploaded file type before storing the file on the server. Contributor-level access is required; a successful upload permits execution of attacker-controlled server-side code with the web server's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
