Admin-level code execution via unchecked file upload
Published May 7, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Themefic BEAF 4.6.10 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute server-side code. The beaf_options_save action passes uploaded files to beaf_save_options(), which trusts a client-supplied application/octet-stream MIME type and moves the original filename into the web-accessible wp-content/uploads/itinerary-fonts directory. Administrator access and a settings nonce are required; a PHP payload becomes a remotely callable web shell with the WordPress host's privileges.
