Published May 23, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Missing authorization in Experto CTA Widget 1.1.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to change plugin settings through WordPress AJAX. The esc_admin_side_ajax_function() handler performs settings updates without a capability check, accepting unauthenticated requests. Any network-reachable site with an affected plugin version exposes its widget configuration to unauthorized modification; no data disclosure is reported.
