Contributor-level script execution via unescaped stored input
Published May 7, 2025 · Updated May 12, 2026
Stored XSS in ProWCPlugins Product Time Countdown for WooCommerce 1.6.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts. The public advisory attributes the flaw to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping but does not identify the affected field, handler, or rendering sink. Contributor-level access is required to store a payload, and a page visitor triggers it in the browser, allowing access to or modification of data available to that browser session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
