Contributor-level web-shell upload via missing file validation
Published Jun 17, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in RexTheme WP VR 8.5.26 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to upload executable web shells. The plugin accepts dangerous file types without validation, but public advisories do not identify the upload handler or affected parameter. Contributor-level access is required; a stored executable web shell permits code execution in the web server context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
