Unauthenticated file disclosure via proxy_image path traversal
Published May 14, 2025 · Updated May 12, 2026
Relative path traversal in Arraytics Eventin 4.0.26 and earlier allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files without authentication. The proxy_image AJAX endpoint accepts an attacker-controlled url value containing a local absolute path and returns that file's contents. Any network client that can reach WordPress AJAX can retrieve readable host files, including configuration files containing credentials.
