Browser script execution via unsanitized employee-edit fields
Published May 16, 2025 · Updated May 16, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Employee Record System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute browser scripts through employee-edit fields. The dashboard/edit_employee.php handler fails to neutralize employeed_id, first_name, middle_name, and last_name before web-page generation. Exploitation requires low-privilege access and interaction with the injected content, limiting direct effects to the affected browser session.
