CVE-2025-47408

Local memory corruption via invalid IOCTL buffers

Published May 4, 2026 · Updated May 4, 2026

Memory corruption in Qualcomm Snapdragon power-optimization firmware allows local users to corrupt device memory through a crafted IOCTL. The firmware IOCTL path dereferences an untrusted pointer after another driver supplies an invalid input or output buffer, corrupting memory. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access plus control of a driver that can call the IOCTL; Qualcomm does not disclose whether corruption yields code execution or a crash.
