Sensitive PIB disclosure via remote powerline access
Published Aug 6, 2025 · Updated Aug 6, 2025
Information disclosure in Qualcomm Snapdragon QCA7005 firmware allows remote attackers to read sensitive PIB data over powerline. The firmware permits a remote powerline device to access and modify the Parameter Information Block, exposing PLC-side information that should not be remotely readable. Unauthenticated network reachability over the powerline link is sufficient; the reported consequence is disclosure, not integrity or availability loss.
