Local memory corruption via timestamp-store race
Published Sep 24, 2025 · Updated Sep 24, 2025
Double free in the Video component of Qualcomm Snapdragon allows local users to corrupt memory by racing timestamp-store updates. Concurrent threads can set the timestamp store without sufficient synchronization, causing the same allocation to be released twice. Low-privileged local access is required; successful exploitation can expose or alter data or interrupt the affected component.
