Administrator code execution via unsafe backup configuration
Published Nov 10, 2025 · Updated Nov 10, 2025
OS command injection in Combodo iTop before 2.7.13 and 3.0.0-alpha through 3.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute server code. The backup creation path incorporates an administrator-editable configuration parameter into a command without first escaping and validating the value. Administrator access to edit the instance configuration and trigger backup creation is required, and successful exploitation runs commands with the server process's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
