Unauthorized session access via truncated authentication tags

Improper authentication in Auth0-PHP 8.0.0-BETA1 and later before 8.14.0 allows remote attackers to gain unauthorized access via session cookies. CookieStore::decrypt accepted any base64-decoded authentication tag length and passed shortened tags to AES-128-GCM decryption, reducing the work needed to guess a valid tag. Exposure requires an affected SDK and CookieStore-backed session storage; a forged cookie can impersonate a valid session.
