CVE-2025-47241Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Restricted-host access via URL userinfo confusion

Published May 3, 2025 · Updated May 5, 2025

Improper URL authorization in Browser Use before 0.1.45 allows remote attackers to bypass allowed_domains and reach blocked hosts. The _is_url_allowed method truncates the parsed authority at the first colon, treating a permitted username as the domain instead of checking the actual hostname. Exploitation requires allowed_domains to protect the session and attacker-controlled navigation input; success permits browsing to localhost or internal services.
