Administrator takeover via unauthenticated session initialization
Published Jul 5, 2025 · Updated Jul 7, 2025
Authentication bypass in NetMake Scriptcase through 9.12.006 (23) allows remote attackers to take over a Production Environment administrator account. The nmPageProdLogin constructor calls doAjax() before iniSession(), so an initial GET marks the reused PHP session as eligible for a subsequent change_pass POST. A valid CAPTCHA response and password-policy-compliant replacement password are required, but no credentials or knowledge of the administrator email is needed.
