File enumeration via unrestricted signature image paths
Published Nov 13, 2025 · Updated Dec 17, 2025
Local file enumeration in Keyfactor SignServer before 7.3.2 allows remote authenticated users to confirm server-side file existence. The PDFSigner and PAdESSigner accept an unrestricted VISIBLE_SIGNATURE_CUSTOM_IMAGE_PATH and return an error when the path resolves to a readable, non-image file. SignServer administrator access is required, and the oracle discloses existence rather than file contents.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
