Reflected XSS via unencoded POST debug output
Published May 13, 2025 · Updated May 14, 2025
Reflected XSS in Bootstrap Multiselect before 2.0.0 allows remote attackers to run script in a victim's browser via crafted POST data. The bundled post.php debugging endpoint passes the complete $_POST array to print_r, returning attacker-controlled values without HTML encoding. Exploitation requires an application to deploy that example PHP file unchanged and a victim to submit the attacker's cross-site request; the upstream maintainer describes the repository file as having no impact.
