File disclosure via enabled external DTD processing
Published Aug 21, 2025 · Updated Sep 11, 2025
XXE injection in the /init API in ExaGrid EX10 before 6.4.0 P20, 7.0.1 P12, and 7.2.0 P08 allows remote authenticated users to read system files. The endpoint's XML parser accepts external DTDs, resolves attacker-defined file entities, and returns their contents through verbose parsing errors. An unprivileged appliance account is required; exposed files can include support keys, while the privilege-escalation path is not publicly detailed.
