CVE-2025-47176Public exploit

Local code execution via path traversal

Published Jun 10, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Path traversal in Outlook in Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise and Office LTSC 2024 allows local users to execute code. Outlook accepts the published '.../...//' traversal form, but Microsoft has not disclosed the parsing function, containing data field, or path from traversal to execution. An authenticated local user with low privileges can trigger the flaw without further user interaction and execute code in the Outlook user's context.
