Security feature bypass in Microsoft Windows Shell allows remote attackers to bypass shortcut-file protections after user interaction. Microsoft has not disclosed the Shell locus or the operation that mishandles attacker-controlled shortcut content. A user must interact with the content; the documented consequence is limited modification and service interruption, not data disclosure.
