Memory disclosure via EMF Facename over-read
Published Aug 5, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in PDF-XChange Editor 10.6.0.396 allows remote attackers to disclose memory via a crafted EMF file. The EMF parser handles an EMR_EXTCREATEFONTINDIRECTW record by reading its Facename field beyond the record boundary. A victim must open the file; the published impact is limited to sensitive-memory disclosure, with no integrity or availability impact.
