User redirection via unescaped stored project name
Published May 12, 2025 · Updated May 13, 2025
Stored XSS in Kanboard 1.2.26 through 1.2.44 allows remote authenticated users to redirect users through a crafted project name. The Import Tasks template renders a stored project name as HTML without neutralizing meta markup, so a meta refresh executes when another user opens the function. Project creation access and another user's interaction are required; the default CSP blocks JavaScript, but HTML meta redirects remain effective.
