CVE-2025-46813Network attack vector

Unauthenticated private homepage disclosure via client-side redirect

Published May 5, 2025 · Updated May 6, 2025

Information disclosure in Discourse 3.5.0.beta4 at affected commits allows remote attackers to read private homepage content. The discovery route replaced the established login redirect with a browser-side transition to /login-required, allowing homepage data to reach anonymous clients before the alternate page rendered. Only login-required sites deployed from commit 10df7fdee060d44accdee7679d66d778d1136510 through 82d84af6b0efbd9fa2aeec3e91ce7be1a768511b are affected; stable-branch sites are unaffected.
