Credential discovery via unrestricted authentication attempts
Published May 12, 2025 · Updated May 12, 2025
Authentication throttling failure in SEL Blueframe OS before 1.12.0 allows remote attackers to discover account credentials by brute force. SEL has not disclosed the affected authentication endpoint or implementation details beyond the absence of rate limiting on repeated guesses. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful guessing exposes a valid account and the access granted to it.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
