Data alteration via permissive data gateway CORS
Published May 12, 2025 · Updated May 12, 2025
Origin validation error in SEL-5037 Grid Configurator before 6.4.0.58 allows remote attackers to alter data via cross-origin API requests. The data gateway API accepts browser requests from unexpected origins because its CORS policy does not enforce trusted origins. Exploitation requires user interaction; the published assessment reports data integrity impact without disclosure or service interruption.
