Authenticated XSS via unescaped AtMentions output
Published Sep 19, 2025 · Updated Sep 19, 2025
Cross-site scripting in BlueSpice 5 through 5.1.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in other users' browsers. The AtMentions extension renders attacker-controlled mention output without the encoding needed to keep it out of executable page context. A logged-in account and another user's exposure to the crafted output are required; successful exploitation enables session hijacking and actions within that user's browser session.
