Authenticated browser script execution via reflected format path
Published Apr 27, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2025
Reflected XSS in Ververica Platform 2.14.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute browser scripts through a crafted format URI. The SQL Connectors Formats route reflects an encoded payload appended to /sql/v1beta1/namespaces/default/formats/avro into the rendered page without neutralizing executable markup. A low-privileged user must persuade another user to open the crafted URL, enabling script execution in that user's browser context.
