CVE-2025-46634Network attack vector

Administrative access via replayable cleartext password hash

Published May 1, 2025 · Updated May 2, 2025

Cleartext credential transmission in Tenda RX2 Pro 16.03.30.14 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to gain administrative access. The web portal encrypts later exchanges only after sending the user's password hash unencrypted, allowing an observer to reuse the hash as an authentication credential. Exploitation requires visibility into a legitimate management login's network traffic; successful replay grants portal access without knowledge of the password.
