CVE-2025-46633Network attack vector

Traffic decryption via cleartext AES key transmission

Published May 1, 2025 · Updated May 2, 2025

Cleartext key transmission in the Tenda RX2 Pro 16.03.30.14 web portal allows attackers to decrypt client-server traffic. After successful authentication, httpd returns the symmetric AES key in cleartext and reuses the fixed IV EU5H62G9ICGRNI43. A client must authenticate before key emission; man-in-the-middle attackers can then read captured management traffic.
