Unauthorized configuration changes via unauthenticated UDP commands
Published May 1, 2025 · Updated May 2, 2025
Improper access control in Tenda RX2 Pro 16.03.30.14 allows remote attackers to change router configuration through the enabled ate UDP service. The ate command handler accepts crafted UDP requests and applies the requested configuration operations without authenticating or authorizing the sender. The ate service must already be enabled and network-reachable; exploitation changes device settings without administrator credentials.
