Authenticated code execution via unrestricted REST file upload
Published Apr 25, 2025 · Updated Apr 25, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Quantum StorNext Web GUI API before 7.2.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. The upload REST API accepts unauthorized file uploads, and Quantum's mitigation disables that API to remove the execution path. Network access and low-privileged credentials are required; successful exploitation compromises the StorNext server.
