Restricted endpoint access via AiScript path traversal
Published May 5, 2025 · Updated May 5, 2025
Path traversal in Misskey 12.31.0 through 2025.4.0 allows remote authenticated users to access restricted endpoints through malicious AiScript. The Mk:api implementation rejects absolute URLs but accepts endpoint strings containing ../, allowing requests to escape the intended /api directory and reach routes such as /files, /url, and /proxy. Exploitation requires low privileges and user interaction to run the crafted script; the vendor does not define the maximum resulting action.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
