CVE-2025-4655Network attack vector

Restricted-resource reads via unchecked redirect validation

Published Aug 9, 2025 · Updated Aug 11, 2025

SSRF in FreeMarker templates in affected Liferay Portal and DXP releases allows remote authenticated users to read restricted resources. The portal HTTP utility follows redirects from crafted template URLs without revalidating each destination, allowing an accepted URL to reach a blocked host. Template-editor privileges are required, and successful exploitation exposes data returned by network resources reachable from the server.
