Stored script execution via unsanitized page content
Published Apr 24, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in ThemeXpert Xpert Tab 1.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts into pages. The plugin stores contributor-supplied page content without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping, causing embedded scripts to execute when the page is viewed. Contributor-level access is required to plant the payload, and successful exploitation requires another user to view the affected page.
