Incorrect buffer-size calculation in ImageMagick before 7.1.1-44 allows local users to interrupt image processing via a crafted MIFF file. In coders/miff.c, ReadMIFFImage and WriteMIFFImage add meta-channel sizes to assumed standard channels instead of deriving packet_size from the actual channel count. Exploitation requires local processing of a multispectral MIFF with meta channels in an arbitrary order; the record does not specify whether the process hangs or crashes.
