CVE-2025-4639Network attack vector

Data disclosure via expanded WebDAV external entities

Published May 14, 2025 · Updated May 14, 2025

XXE in the WebDAV servlet in Peergos 1.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to read server-side resources through crafted XML. AbstractMethod.getDocumentBuilder() creates a namespace-aware DocumentBuilderFactory without disabling entity-reference expansion, so the parser resolves attacker-supplied external entities. The WebDAV bridge must be running and reachable; upstream states that it is designed for localhost, while successful parsing exposes data available to the Peergos process and can induce outbound requests.
