Improper privilege management in JCT NextGen AQMS airpointer 2.4.107-2 allows local users controlling the web user to gain root access. The airpointer web platform grants its service account excessive privileges, but public CNA and vendor material does not identify the privileged operation or configuration that permits elevation. Exploitation requires prior control of the appliance's web user and yields root control of the monitoring appliance.
