CVE-2025-46343

Stored XSS via attacker-controlled attachment MIME type

Published Apr 29, 2025 · Updated Apr 29, 2025

Stored XSS in n8n before 1.90.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's session through a crafted attachment. The binary-data view endpoint accepts a GET-controlled MIME type and serves uploaded HTML as text/html instead of constraining or sandboxing it. Member-level access is required to upload the file, and a second user must open its URL; the resulting session-context script can change that user's account email and enable account takeover.
