CVE-2025-46342Network attack vector

Policy enforcement bypass via suppressed namespace lookup errors

Published Apr 30, 2025 · Updated Apr 30, 2025

Policy enforcement bypass in Kyverno before 1.13.5 and 1.14.0 pre-releases allows remote authenticated users to bypass admission rules. GetNamespaceSelectorsFromNamespaceLister suppresses NamespaceLister errors and returns an empty label map, causing namespace-selector rules to be evaluated against the wrong namespace state. Exploitation requires Kubernetes API access and a stale informer cache; accepted requests can evade security-critical validation or mutation, although the upstream advisory found no reliable way to induce the cache condition.
