CVE-2025-46298Network attack vector

Process crash via FTL array type confusion

Published Jan 9, 2026 · Updated Jan 9, 2026

Type confusion in WebKit before 26.2 allows remote attackers to crash a content process through maliciously crafted web content. JavaScriptCore's FTL tier mishandles new-array materialization state during attacker-controlled JavaScript, triggering the type confusion. The target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file; ZDI reports process-context code execution, while Apple reports only a crash.
