Unauthenticated administrator creation via missing access check
Published Apr 24, 2025 · Updated Apr 25, 2025
Missing authentication in PLANET WGS-804HPT-V2 and WGS-4215-8T2S firmware allows remote attackers to create administrator accounts. The account-creation function accepts a privileged-account request without validating existing credentials; public advisories do not identify the responsible handler or request path. Network access to a management interface is sufficient, and the resulting account grants administrative control over switch data and configuration.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
